Great tour! I’m a Sydney local so been to Chinatown many times but learned so much about the history of the area plus a great list of where to try next.

Explored Sydney downtown and the rocks Jake was awesome had a fun time exploring the city and learning history about Australia! Wish we could do more tours and have more time in Sydney. Will definitely have to come back!

Amazing way to experience locations Fascinating tour with excellent host providing a great insight into Newtown’s food scene, breweries and street art, the latter proving a lot more interesting than I expected!I have joined several Local Sauce tours in Sydney plus one in Brisbane and all have been 5-star experiences covering aspects that I would have missed as an independent traveler.

We were only two guests plus our guide, but he really made an effort and created a fantastic experience. I had the best time ever. Delicious drinks, super cool locations, and a fun mix of street art and local history along the way. What’s not to love?

We really enjoyed our Little Italy Food Tour in Five Dock today. Our guide greeted us with a cappuccino , ( thanks Justin!) and knew all the proprietors well and was knowledgeable about the local area. Lucky we didn’t have much for breakfast because by the end of the tour we didn’t need lunch or anything else till late afternoon! A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I took a walking food tour of Chinatown Sydney with Bunny, a wonderful, friendly tour guide who showed us a variety of restaurants and food stops. All of us were very entertained by the short stories and background histories of certain buildings, restaurants and monuments around the area. She also gave us samples of some of the best snacks in Chinatown & I returned to some of the restaurants later because they were so good.

I highly recommend this walking tour to anyone curious about the food in Chinatown and would like to familiarize themselves to the wide variety of tasty snacks and foods offered in the area. It was super!!

We like to book a first day walking tour of a new city, when possible, as it brings the city to life and helps us to understand the layout.
The Local Sauce Sydney and the Rocks tour delivered in spades.
The tour guide, Michael, was very welcoming and made time to chat to each tour attendee individually.
The tour itself was everything we hoped for and more. Michael explained the history of Sydney from the British, Aboriginal and British convicts point of view, he explained the architecture, how it came to be, artwork and personal experiences of growing up and living in the city. We visited many of the big landmarks and also some more tucked away. He was open to questions and took time to answer them and put them in context.
He also took time at the end of the tour to explain different ideas for places to visit and how to get there, plus some of his own personal favourite eateries.
We had an amazing experience, exactly what we had hoped for when searching for and deciding on this tour. Highly recommended.

Michael was an outstanding host. He integrated history and storytelling very well, and the whole trip was super engaging, Michael was also personable and linked history and current events in Sydney to the home regions of the participants, in this case, the UK and US. The pace was so relaxed that we did not even realize how much ground we covered until the end. Michael also provided stellar and thoughtful food and excursion recommendations, We highly recommend Michael as your tour guide!

I booked onto the Ultimate Sydney Walking Tour the night before after some deliberation about which company to go with and I have zero regrets!
Our guide, Jake, was fun, knowledgable and very easy to get on with, it felt like he’d been doing this tour for years!
The tour itself perfectly covered the key highlights of Sydney CBD, from Circular Quay, down to Hyde Park and finishing at The Rocks, covering a good blend of First Nations, Colonial and Modern history.

Melinda was a fantastic guide. Fun and knowledgeable and highly recommend. The tour around Newtown was informative and Melinda made the experience fun with the combination of food and drink. The tacos, pie, ice cream and falafel hit the spot and ended up in a cool brewery to finish. Great way to spend an afternoon.

This was an absolutely wonderful experience! I especially want to praise our guide Bunny, whose vibrant and energetic leadership style made the entire journey incredibly fun. Bunny was able to customize her explanations based on the situation, presenting Chinatown’s history and cultural background in an accessible yet thorough way, while guiding us to sample various authentic delicacies.

Great Walking Tour of Sydney This was a very nice walking tour of Sydney covering many points of interest, such as Hyde Park, The Royal Botanical Gardens, Queen Victoria Building, Sydney Harbor Bridge, Opera House, The Rocks, and less known areas that we would not have found on our own. Our tour guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable, informative, and funny. He gave us a very good overview of Sydney, so we knew the areas that we wanted to come back to when we had more time later during our vacation. We enjoyed the tour very much and recommend it for a great introduction to the city.
